Arrow is a ten month old, black bicolor, male Aussie who is just full of love and energy. He can be a bit timid when he first meets people, but warms up quickly to nearly everyone.
Arrow loves to wrestle with his foster sister and chase her around the yard. He is also content to just chew on his toys, but if there aren’t any around he might pick up shoes that are just lying around. He quickly drops them when told “no” – and swears he’s just trying to teach his foster mom to put her shoes away.
Arrow is quite bright, and picks up on most commands very quickly. It helps if you’ve got a piece of kibble to encourage him, but he loves the praise as well.
In Arrow’s life before rescue, he lived outside and probably competed for food, so he be a bit persnickety with other dogs near food (however, he’s fine with humans touching his food while he eats) and is learning to eat more slowly.
Arrow has plenty of energy and will need enough activity to keep him exercised (a tired Aussie is a happy Aussie!), but once he’s had a good walk or play session he’s content just to curl up on your lap (literally). He’s good with other dogs, and is cat friendly (so long as the cat is dog savvy).
Arrow is crate trained – he has a bit of separation anxiety when crated during the day but sleeps quietly in the crate at night. Arrow is wary of small children, so would be best suited to a home without young children.
Arrow is neutered, UTD on vaccines, and microchipped. He is currently fostered in Charlotte, NC, and his adoption fee is $275.
