Name: Bones
Age: 2 years
Breed: Australian Shepherd
Gender: Male

Meet Bones! Bones is a two year old old red tricolor Australian Shepherd. Despite his name, he is anything but “bones” – he’s all wiggles and a bit of chub right now, but he’s on a strict diet and exercise plan with his foster mom!

Bones is a lover and very much a Velcro dog! He loves to lie on top of his humans and give kisses. His foster parents are helping him lose a few pounds and teach him that new humans are good humans, as Bones can be nervous around strangers and particularly new men. Bones would love to be adopted with siblings, as he has never met a doggy stranger, and has even gotten his bossy Aussie foster brother to play with him. He loves to play!

Bones is looking for an experienced Aussie home that understands his personality and can help continue his training and socialization. He is improving in his foster home, but will need consistent training and socialization to overcome his concern with new men. He has been crate trained and is working on his leash and meeting manners – he loves his daily walks and hikes!

Bones is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and microchipped. He is fostered in Boone, NC, and his adoption fee is $300.
