Bumper

Age: 4 months
Breed: Australian Shepherd
Gender: Male
Weight: 30 pounds

Bumper is a 4-month- old BLIND Aussie boy with all the spunk and energy of typical Aussie puppy. No need to feel sorry for him though, he’s under the impression no one can see and is just as able as any other puppy and happy as a clam.

Bumper gets around just fine and loves his zoomies (within his safe zones), sneaking up on his foster sister and even chasing tennis balls. He’s always so proud of himself and parades the ball around after he hears the bounce of the ball and finds it. After a good play session with his foster sister you can often times find him zonked out in front of any air vent in the home, he loves to feel the cool breeze of the AC through his toe beans.

His foster home has been working with Bumper on his basic commands, walking on a leash, and not nipping ankles (one of his favorite activities). Bumper loves meeting new people and dogs and settles well when in public. However, his energy level is on the medium to high side and he does require mental and physical exercise before laying calmly in the house – you just have to be a bit more creative to wear him out!

Bumper would do best in a home with a fence (so he can continue to safely enjoy his zoomies!), a playful and confident canine sibling, herding breed experience, and no young children.

Bumper is crate trained and is learning when and how to ask to go outside for potty breaks. He is UTD on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and on preventatives.

Bumper is currently fostered in Charlotte, NC. His adoption fee is $350 and an additional $200 neuter and training deposit that will be refunded upon proof of neuter and enrollment in a training class by one year old.
