Age: 2 yrs old
Breed: Australian Shepherd
Are you on the search for a cuddle bug? How about a new best friend? If yes, you are in luck! Meet Clyde, a 2-year-old Australian Shepherd with a BIG personality.
This silly guy came to Carolina Hearts as an owner surrender. Clyde’s previous family had cats in the home, and he is not a fan. He prefers a house filled with humans to one with felines. Clyde’s humans are his favorite, which means this goofball will do anything for your attention. He is one the friendliest dogs his foster mom has ever met and is an absolute pro when it comes to cuddling. Don’t let the fact that he is 60 pounds fool you. He will manage to fit his entire fluffy wiggle butt in your lap! Clyde is not only good with people; he is also fabulous with other dogs. His playful personality is good for both big and small playmates. Outside of playing in the backyard, Clyde is great on his leash- and enjoys going for walks. This big guy is doing great with his new active lifestyle, and will need a family to continue to keep him active. While Clyde is wonderful with adults, teens, and dogs, he is not suited for a home with small children. Clyde is definitely a herding dog – he is a bit mouthy and likes to nudge little ones around the home (they are just so easy to move!). However, if you are looking for an energetic dog to fill your life with laughs and smiles, then Clyde is your dog!
Clyde has shown some protective tendencies toward his human – so we would prefer an Aussie experienced home who will keep this boy exercised and socialized. He would do great with a basic training course as well.
Clyde is neutered and microchipped. He will be up-to-date on vaccines and heartworm testing and preventatives prior to adoption. He is currently being fostered in Frederick, MD and his adoption fee is $300.
