Meet Diana, the ACD with a permanent wink!
Mama Diana is a sweet girl who has had a rough start in life. She is 3-4 years old and was surrendered from a hoarding situation to a local shelter with her litter of Super Puppies. She came to CHAR with an old eye injury which necessitated removal of the eye. She now sports an adorable wink!
Diana is did not receive much human interaction in her previous home and as a result can be very clingy when she finds a person to love. However, she is rapidly learning that sitting patiently and waiting to be snuggled results in more snuggles than climbing on her person. Her foster mom is working on building her confidence on a leash and in the car – she has improved significantly since coming into foster care. She is house and crate trained and non-destructive if left out of the crate.
Mama D is a one in a million Cattle Dog – this is a low energy and quiet girl! She would much rather snuggle up on the couch than chase a Frisbee or go for a long run. She does enjoy her daily walks, followed by a nice long nap or hanging out on the couch with her person. Diana gets along with cats, dogs, and kids. She typically ignores other animals (though she does prefer they not pester her) and enjoys gentle attention from children. She has not shown much interest in toys or playing with other dogs – but with time and confidence she may learn to enjoy playtime.
Diana would do best in a low-key household with lots of love to give! She is UTD on vaccinations, spayed, and microchipped. She is currently fostered in Greenville, SC.
