Emery

Name: Emery
Age: 5 Months
Breed: Australian Shepherd
Gender: Male

Emery is an adorable 5 month old blue merle Aussie mix boy who has been through quite a bit in his short life. Not only was he struck by a car, he also came down with Parvo and survived both! Proving that not only is he single handedly, absolutely the most handsome little guy, he is a tough little fighter as well! He also has the iciest blue eyes that will have you obeying his every command, cute freckles everywhere, fun little floppy ears and delicious puppy breath!

Since he has been in foster care, Emery’s personality has really come around. He is a super smart, silly, energetic puppy who loves his playtime, but is also all about his snuggle time as well. He is somewhat potty-trained, learning about walking on a leash, and sits for his dinner and for after dinner treats. Emery is very velcro, and quite a little snuggler. And he also has a serious case of the happy tails!

Emery is a healthy, happy puppy but is still recovering from his surgery. He and his foster mom spend time everyday doing exercises that improve the strength in his hindleg. Since he’s a puppy, he still has puppy manners and loves to mouth things. So, there are still puppy things he’s learning about. He would do fine with dog savvy cats. He has shown interest in his foster feline siblings, but will give chase if they run.

Emery loves other dogs and has fit right in with his other foster brothers and sister! He loves to run and play with them as much as he can, but also settles down well for long naps and snuggle time. He loves toys — especially tennis balls. But basically anything that squeaks or that he can tug on, he’s all about it. He is super smart and is working on learning simple commands, and does well with sit, stay, and wait — though he’s still perfecting the stay because he just loves to be around people! If you are looking for a fun, energetic little guy with intoxicating puppy breath, Emery would be perfect!

Emery is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and up to date on his preventatives. He is currently fostered in Winston Salem, NC.
