Active, friendly and sweet boy.
Meet Grizzly, a four year old blue merle male Border Collie mix. We know he looks a little funny right now, but don’t judge a book by its cover! Grizz came to CHAR a filthy, matted mess and we had no choice but to shave him down. He make look funny, but boy does he feel good! Grizzly was surrendered to a shelter by his family, and we’re not sure why, but we know he’s definitely better off now!
Grizzly is a friendly, energetic guy who gets along with other dogs and people. He has ignored the cats at his foster home thus far. Grizz is a protective boy, and will sound the alarm if someone he doesn’t know enters the house. This is a typical behavior for herding breeds, and an adopter should take care to introduce visitors properly. Grizzly is a large, high energy dog and should not go to a home with children younger than 13.
Grizzly would do well with an active owner that likes to run, bike, hike, etc. He’s very smart and playful. He does great in his crate – doesn’t make a peep! – and walks well on a leash.
Grizzly is currently being fostered in Lexington, SC.
