Hello, my name is Hatteras! I am a 1 year old tri color Australian Shepherd, and you might have read my old bio, and saw that I had some trouble adjusting from being abandoned. But I am here to tell you that I have blossomed in my foster home!
My new motto is “bring it!” I am not scared of anything and I am up for anything. My foster mom says I have gained many new talents. She says I’m a gymnast, scholar, adventurer, practitioner in the art of parkour, the next Michael Phelps, and on top of all that I have a huge heart and looooovvveee to snuggle. I will be your best friend by your side along every adventure!
Being with people is still my favorite! I have learned to be in the kennel, I don’t hesitate to go in. Children and strangers don’t scare me anymore, as long as they have pets to give, I love them and will greet anyone with my signature nub wiggle! If you are looking for a travel dog I am great for that! I have been on 8 hour trips and slept the whole time, car rides make me very sleepy and snuggly!
All in all, I am a great dog that will benefit any family that is willing to give me a chance. I promise I am a good boy! Daily walks and playtime are a great way to keep me busy, since I hate being bored and try to find my own fun (which is usually trouble according to foster mom). But as a puppy I have a lot of room to grow and learn to adjust to different lifestyles. I am a quick learner and already learned how to leg weave. I can’t wait to have a home of my own and go on so many new adventures!
Hatteras is a mid-high energy Aussie boy in need of a home with no small animals or children under 6. He is currently fostered in Greenville, NC. He is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and is neutered. His adoption fee is $300.
