Jingle Jangle

Jingle Jangle

I am looking for a home with:
* Calm, preferably male companion, or no other dogs
* No cats
* Energetic person/family who will take me to agility, training, frisbee, or flyball
* Lots of love and attention. I LOVE people!

My name is Jingle Jangle, but my foster parents call me “JJ”. I am an adorable, two year old female, blue merle miniature Aussie and my foster mom says I’m an absolute sweetheart. Honestly, I just love being around people and will curl up on my foster parents laps for some pets whenever I have the chance. I don’t love being held for extensive amounts of time because there is always work to be done and places to be explored, so I would not consider myself a “lap dog”. Plus, I weigh almost 30 pounds, so while I may be little, I’m definitely not tiny!

I walk very well on my leash (better than all my foster-sister I’m proud to say) and love being outside and exploring! I definitely have some herding drive, (I am an Aussie after all!) and love chasing deer, squirrels and the occasional kitty away from my yard. Job well done, I would say.

I love having jobs to do. Not to brag, but I mastered the agility jump in TWO tries. The first time I watched, the second I jumped and I have been jumping ever higher since. So I would like a home that would take me to agility, frisbee, Flyball or something fun like that! I’m a quick learner so I would be good at anything!

I am friendly with other dogs, but will ask then to not overwhelm me when I feel overwhelmed. I prefer to do my own thing, and I especially like dogs who don’t try to push me to play, so I would probably do well in a home with a low-key dog.
In terms of cats, I would not say I’m super cat-friendly. I am fine with my foster mom’s cat because her room has tasty cat food in it, but outdoor cats who are running, are a bit too much for my herding drive.

I am fully house-trained, crate-trained, leash-trained, and UTD on shots and spayed. I am currently living in Raleigh, NC, with my foster family!
