Meet sweet Mama June!
Well, that’s a funny looking Aussie, huh? That’s because June, or “Mama June” as we call her, came to CHAR due to our “Ohana Rule” – which means families don’t get left behind. June had a litter of puppies with an Aussie, and they were dumped in a high-kill shelter. Before then, Mama June was tethered to a tree for most of her life.
June obviously had a rough start in life. She will need a patient hand that is willing to take the time to help her become more comfortable indoors. She is about three years old, and weighs around 40 pounds.
She is very mild tempered and well inside she prefers to hang out on her bed observing the activity of the house. Outside June is a whole different dog. She loves the out doors, she prances all about excited to be in her element.
June is good on a leash, she loves long walks! She would be best in a home that has older kids that understand she needs her space or in a home without children; she is good with cats and does well with older dogs that won’t pester her.
Will you give June the love and kindness she needs?
She is currently fostered in Goose Creek, SC.
