Lincoln is an energetic and loving little guy looking for love!
Lincoln is a one year old, blue merle, mini-toy Aussie weighing in around 16 pounds. Little Lincoln had a bit of a rough start in life. When he was taken to the vet by his original family his urethra was cut during his neuter at six months old. He has since had surgery to repair the issue but since it occurred at such a young age he has developed inconsistency for which he will have to take Proin twice a day for the remainder of his life. Luckily, he has no problem taking it with his kibble at breakfast and dinner.
His original owners did not want the responsibility of a “special needs” pup, so his wonderful foster family took him in. His foster family has done a great job socializing him to cats, other dogs, and people – he loves doggie day care and has done well with young children. Although he tends to stick to his human companions, he will bond well with another dog.
He is wary of new people at first and may bark but does settle down once he has confirmed the new person is safe. Once he warms up to you he is a loyal companion that will not leave your side.
He loves playing and chewing on toys. Lincoln is an energetic little guy and would make a great walking or low-mileage running buddy. He is crate and house trained although he does prefer to be out of the crate during the day, it is his safe spot at night.
Lincoln is UTD on vaccines, neutered, and microchipped. Any adopter interested in Lincoln must be committed to continuing his Proin regime for the remainder of his life. He is currently fostered in Fayetteville, NC.
