Energetic, cuddly, submissive red girl!

Lucy is a nine month old red tricolor Aussie female with a half tail. Don’t let her pictures fool you – while she is a straw-like color now, this is simply due to sunbleaching (she’s lived outside her whole life). After a couple of months of living inside and eating good food, Lucy’s beautiful red coat will shine through!

Lucy came to rescue because she doesn’t get along with livestock. When her owners would let her out of her pen, she just couldn’t control all her puppy energy, and the family goats were the objects of her playfulness. Lucy loves all the dogs she has met, but she has not been cat tested yet. She is also very good with people and children.

Lucy is learning how to be a house dog with her foster parents, but she’s catching on quickly. She is spayed, chipped, and vaccinated, and will be great for an active family who can meet her exercise needs. She would probably also benefit from an obedience class with her new family. Lucy has siblings in agility sports, and with the right handler she might also excel in that!

Lucy is currently fostered in Goose Creek, SC.
