Maddie is 13 year young Aussie who came to Carolina Hearts after her human passed away, leaving her stuck at a rural shelter. But don’t let her age fool you – she passed her vet exam with flying colors and has a zest for life! Since coming into rescue, she’s brushed up on her doggy manners. She has become her foster parents shadow, following them anywhere and everywhere. Maddie is content to lay at their feet, but much prefers cuddling on the couch and belly rubs. She enjoys walks around the neighborhood, which is helping her shed a few pounds. She does well with her canine foster siblings, although would also be fine as the only dog. She has met cats with mixed reviews.

Maddie is a sweet, loving petite girl who needs a home that will continue to cherish her in her golden years. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. She is currently fostered in Blacksburg, VA.
