Oliver is a 6-year-old, red merle, male Australian Shepherd in search of a forever home. Oliver came to Carolina Hearts when his family no longer had time to devote to him. He is a happy boy who LOVES to be where his people are. He is on the larger side for an Aussie and is currently working off a few extra pounds in his foster home, ~60lb would be a good healthy weight for him. He has a good, moderate energy level and is doing great on walks and slow jogs with his foster, so getting those last few pounds off him shouldn’t be difficult. He also LOVES fetch – if you can throw a tennis ball you are golden in his book!

Oliver can be a bit shy at first meeting, but warms up quickly. He has done great meeting other dogs in the home and at dog parks, though he isn’t quite sure how to play with his bossy Aussie foster sister just yet. Oliver is a bit too interested in his feline foster brother, so we do not feel comfortable placing him in a home with cats. He lived in a home with a baby and has met children nicely in public – so he would likely do well in a home with respectful children.

Oliver is house and crate trained – though he does not need to be crated when left alone. He is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. Oliver is currently fostered in Charlotte, NC and his adoption fee is $225.
