Reutter
Name: Reutter
Age: 1 year old
Breed: Australian Shepherd
Gender: Male
This handsome hunk of fluff is Reutter (pronounced ROOTER – “It’s a car thing, you wouldn’t understand,” he says). Reutter is a one year old Australian Shepherd pup who has it all — sweet, smarts and sass!
Reutter is deaf, but he doesn’t know that and he surely doesn’t let it slow him down at all. He loves a good romp of zoomies in the yard with his foster siblings by his side. Reutter really doesn’t like to be left alone, so he’d be great for someone with another pup who wants a buddy. Being deaf, he does know some hand signals for “sit” and “good boy!” His foster mom is working with him to learn more. But being wicked smart, he’s learning new ones daily.
Reutter is a very medium energy, confident pup and needs an experienced adoptive home that can keep working with him and his training. He loves hanging and playing with his foster siblings. He is a little rough for cats (more curious than anything) but would likely be alright with super dog savvy ones. Reutter loves children and adults alike. He would do best in a home with another dog to help keep him social and continue to guide him to being the best he can be.
Reutter is a crazy sweet guy who loves ear scratches and to flop his fluffy body in your lap for more love. In his former life, he enjoyed hiking and paddleboarding, so if you are the outdoorsy type, Reutter would love to be your sidekick! Reutter definitely has a curious and nosey side to him and he can get into mischief if left unattended.
Reutter is current on his vaccines, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $300 and he’s fostered in Winston Salem, NC.
