High energy workaholic Aussie!
Say hello to Rory, a stunning three year old red tri Aussie boy. Rory is a wonderful dog, however his energy high working drive made him a little “too much” for his family, so he was surrendered to Carolina Hearts to find him a more suitable home.
Rory is average sized for an Aussie at around 50 pounds. He does have a chicken allergy that causes him to scratch a lot, so he should remain on a lamb diet for the rest of his life.
Rory gets along with dogs and people of all shapes and sizes, but should go to a home without cats as a high working drive typically means high prey drive as well. This boy is house and crate trained, and has been neutered since he was a puppy. Rory is fun loving and super sweet, and would make an excellent running partner for an active owner. We also feel that he will excel in activities like herding (with training) and possibly even agility or another dog sport, with the right owner and trainer.
Rory is currently fostered in Lexington, SC.
