Name: Thunder
Age: 5 months (October 2018)
Breed: Aussie/Australian Cattle Dog mix
Gender: Male

We know we know…he is a super cool looking dog. But in our eyes, he is more than just his outer appearance.

Thunder came from a home in SC. He is from what some folks like to call an “oops litter”. When he came to us he was very shut down and would submissively urinate everywhere. He now walks around with his head up and plays.

We get asked often what exactly Thunder is. As you can tell from his pics, he doesn’t have a full coat of hair. His momma (CHAR dog “Windy”) and his supposed dad are both said to be Aussie/ACD mixes but just in case, we are waiting for results from a DNA test.

Our vet has checked him out and can’t find anything wrong with him. The vet believes that maybe he just doesn’t have enough hair follicles to cover his body. We have him on some OTC treatments to see if we can help out his coat but he might just be a semi hairless pooch.

Thunder LOVES people. He is happiest when he is touching his foster mom. Sometimes she jokes that he wants to be her Siamese twin. He does beautifully with other dogs, kids, and cats. He is working on being house broken and does beautifully in his crate. Leashes aren’t so scary any more, either.

Do you have room in your heart for this handsome, cool pup? With the correct home, we know he can really flourish.

Thunder is current on his vaccines, microchipped, and will need to be neutered by 6 months of age. His adoption fee is $350 and he’s fostered in Pittsboro, NC.

In addition to the adoption fee there is a $200 neuter and training deposit that will be refunded upon proof of completion by 6 months of age.
